Have a special event planned and nowhere to host? Why not consider the Heyfield Wetlands Information Centre for your next function or meeting.

We've had the pleasure of hosting a variety of events and special occasions over the years including (but not limited to) parties, weddings, funerals, conferences, meetings, craft groups, exhibitions and concerts. Catering for functions can also be arranged on request. ​​​​

Hiring Fees and Bond
1. Once booking is confirmed, a hiring fee (based on the type of function to be held) will be advised.
2. A non-negotiable bond of $500 applies to functions serving alcohol. In some instances, a negotiable bond will be payable, again, dependent on the type of function to be held and applied at the discretion of the committee. All costs for breakages or damage must be covered by the person or organisation hiring the venue.
3. Both the hiring fee and bond are payable 48 hours in advance of the booking date.
4. All bond monies due for return will be refunded on the completion of a satisfactory inspection of the premises. This would normally be conducted on the day following the function.

General Information
1. The wetlands centre can provide a maximum seating capacity of 110.
2. If your function is an evening celebration that may include loud music or other, please check local noise restriction times with Wellington Shire Council on 1300 366 244.
3. Catering, in some instances, can be provided. Please ask your committee contact for details. Catering costs start from $6.50 per head and are subject to change dependent upon catering requirements.
4. All food/promotion/party products used for your event must be removed from the premise prior to leaving (unless otherwise arranged).

Safety Regulations
1. The Heyfield Wetlands is a non-smoking zone.
2. No alcohol is to be consumed outside the building.
3. Fire extinguishers are located in the kitchen and adjacent to the east and front doors.
4. A fire blanket and first aid kit are located on the wall adjacent.
5. Direct access from the building is via the ramp located at the front of the building (including wheelchair access).

7. Balloons and streamers must be tied down and overhead fans turned OFF if balloons are set free. Please ensure any internal decorations are kept well away from overhead fans and heaters as streamers, balloons or other decorations once released may become entangled and cause an accident.
